Speaker Ryan's Plan Highlights Regulatory Burdens On Low-Income Households

By taking away consumers' ability to choose the appliance that best suits their individual needs, DOE's energy efficiency standards impose a cost on consumers, not a benefit. As Speaker Ryan's regulatory reform plan highlights, this is particularly true for poor and elderly Americans, who sadly bear the highest costs of appliance efficiency standards.
